Terms of Use
The friendly fine print
Effective October 28, 2026
The short version
- Your artwork belongs to you.
- Purchases are one-time and handled by Apple.
- The coloring pages and Miya are ours, for your personal enjoyment.
- Be kind, and have fun.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") cover the Coloring with Miya app (the "app") and the website at coloring-with-miya.jdmdesign.com (the "site"), both provided by JDMdesign ("we", "us"). By downloading or using the app or the site, you agree to these Terms. If a child uses the app, a parent or guardian agrees to these Terms on the child's behalf.
1. Apple's terms
The app is licensed to you through the Apple App Store. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the "Apple EULA") applies to your use of the app, along with these Terms. If these Terms and the Apple EULA conflict, the Apple EULA controls as to the app. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it.
2. Your license
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, as allowed by the App Store's usage rules, including Family Sharing. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer the app or its content, except where the law allows it.
3. Purchases
Some books are free. Others can be unlocked with one-time, non-consumable in-app purchases, individually or all together with Every Book, which also includes books added later. Purchases are processed by Apple, and prices are shown in the App Store in your local currency. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Unlocked books stay available to you for as long as we keep the app available on the App Store, and you can restore them on your devices with Restore Purchases.
4. Your artwork
The pictures you color are yours. They stay on your device, and you're free to save, print, and share your finished pictures for personal, non-commercial purposes. The original line art and characters, including Miya, remain ours, so please don't sell or commercially publish the pages themselves, colored or not.
5. Our content
The app, the site, the coloring pages, Miya, and all related artwork, text, and code belong to JDMdesign or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. "Coloring with Miya" and Miya are our trademarks.
6. Children and families
The app is made for children, with grown-up checks on purchases, sharing, and links that leave the app. Parents and guardians are responsible for deciding whether the app is right for their child and for supervising its use.
7. Changes and availability
We may update the app, add or change content, or change these Terms. When the Terms change, we'll update the effective date above. If you keep using the app or site after a change, you accept the updated Terms. We may stop offering the app or site at any time, but we'll try to give notice when we can.
8. Disclaimers
We work hard to make the app delightful and reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent allowed by law. We don't promise the app will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that artwork stored on your device can't be lost, so save the pictures you love to Photos.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, JDMdesign will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost data, arising from your use of the app or site. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid for the app's purchases in the twelve months before the claim. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, except where your local consumer protection laws say otherwise.
